The central consulting costs are spread out over all of the Groupe’s operational companies according to the cost of services rendered.
In addition, the parent company and the dedicated holding companies receive dividends from their subsidiaries. The parent company also carries most of the Groupe’s medium- and long-term financial debt. Lastly, financial companies within the Groupe also manage the financing operations and liquidity investment transactions of the subsidiaries.
Marcel is the Groupe’s collaborative artificial intelligence platform facilitating discussions, learning, knowledge sharing and change management between employees. Since 2017, Marcel has evolved to become a central part of Publicis Groupe, offering its employees not only a knowledge base and professional opportunities, but also enabling them to connect with each other in order to foster their development within 260 active communities. With 102,000 monthly users, Marcel connects all of Publicis’ talents to bring the best of the Group to clients. In just a few hours, Marcel can build teams of multidisciplinary and multicultural experts to meet a specific need or conduct an internal survey to gather ideas for a customer review or campaign. Marcel also makes it possible, in a few clicks, to organize a work experience abroad (via the “Work Your World” program), apply for an assignment for another agency (gig), take an online course (choosing from more than 75,000 training courses available and 60,000 articles containing expert content) or find a mentor thanks to the Smart Global Mentorship program. The platform also hosts a space dedicated to the WorkingWithCancer program including resources and training for managers, as well as information on the CareBnB initiative, a solution enabling employees to share their home with cancer patients undergoing treatment. Lastly, Marcel supports the Groupe’s personal development initiatives, notably through the partnership with Thrive Global, with the aim of improving the well-being of employees.
In 2024, Marcel accelerated in the fields of artificial intelligence and employee training by making PL.AI available to employees, an AI professional development program featuring over 3,000 courses and 15 tools designed to support professional growth. Since 2024, the Groupe has also welcomed its clients and partners to Marcel, enabling them to exchange, share, learn and collaborate effectively via the platform.
Publicis has integrated an artificial intelligence layer into the heart of its organization that groups all of the Groupe’s data assets within a single entity, CoreAI. Developed in-house by Publicis Sapient starting in 2023, CoreAI connects all of the Groupe’s data, including 2.3 billion consumer profiles, trillions of data points analyzing campaign performance, and nearly one petabyte of content hosted on the Marcel platform, all combined with more than 35 years of business transformation data and lines of code owned exclusively by Publicis Sapient.
